BNP Paribas Group issued its Q2 results this morning.

Total revenues at EUR 11,224 million, were up by 0.2 percent compared to the second quarter 2018.

Pre-tax income came to EUR 3,377 million (EUR 3,453 million) in the second quarter 2018) and was thus down by 2.2 percent. It was up by 1.8 percent in the operating divisions.

The bank reports that securities services revenues, at EUR 596 million, were up by 12.0 percent compared to the second quarter 2018.

Assets under custody and administration were up sharply by 11.7 percent compared to 30 June 2018 due in particular to the successful migration of the US$180 billion in assets of Janus Henderson at the end of March, but the number of transactions was down by 5.4 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

The bank adds that the business continued its development with the launch this quarter of the marketing of FFYN, a new digital platform providing asset managers and distributors with access to and exchange of information about mutual funds, co-designed with users.

Latest figures as of June 30 2019:

Assets under custody: EUR 10.190 trillion;
