INDOS Financial selects Vigeo Eiris as ESG data provider
July 9, 2019

INDOS Financial, an independent fund depositary and oversight business, has selected Vigeo Eiris to provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) data to support its ESG screening and verification service to asset managers and their stakeholders.

Vigeo Eiris will provide INDOS access to ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility data allowing it to screen investment portfolios and provide bespoke reporting as part of a wider ESG monitoring and verification service.

INDOS says the service will enable its clients to demonstrate compliance with ESG policies and mandates, mitigating the risk of greenwashing, whilst providing internal and external stakeholder assurance to a fund or investment portfolio manager.

INDOS says it will also use the data to provide periodic ESG transparency reports for ongoing analysis of ESG exposures and ESG analysis of individual positions within a portfolio or fund.

Bill Prew, Founder & CEO, INDOS Financial, said: "The integration of ESG factors within the alternative fund industry has presented a number of challenges and the lack of transparency has increased the risk of greenwashing. INDOS aims to support investment managers implement their ESG policies, whilst helping combat any concerns of stakeholders due to the independent nature of the reporting."
